Meet Karen
I’m Karen, an Oregon girl who is now living just outside Seattle. I’m a stay-at-home mom who is addicted to Starbucks chai tea lattes, loves reality TV, the Seattle Seahawks, anything with lemon in it, and spending time with my girlfriends. I’m married to Philip, a very patient man who has put up with me far longer than I deserve, and we have three incredibly precious kids: Olivia (12), Will (10), and Anna (8). Oh…and I have cancer. I was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in April 2015 and have been fighting ever since. This blog will chronicle my cancer journey, but more importantly, will document our family’s journey—the good, the bad, and the occasional ugly—as we live this life. And as we choose joy.
